Aubrey tells the story of an unsuspecting young woman who becomes embroiled in a treacherous conflict between the forces of good and evil. Gracie embarks on an adventure that is almost impossible for her scientific mind to grasp. As she is forced to consider the impossible, she dares to challenge her comprehension beyond the accepted norm by imagining the unthinkable. Time travelling vigilantes have converged on her otherwise sedate life to protect her from a rogue mercenary intent on destroying her world. But even more frightening than this, Gracie learns the awful truth of what it means to settle within one’s life. She is faced with the disturbing reality that the ordinary life she has been living is actually intended to be extraordinary. And with this knowledge, she is forever changed as she discovers it is better to take risks and lose, rather than settle, and before.
